Who can apply?
We welcome applications from writers (fiction and non-fiction), poets, screenwriters, journalists, academics, researchers, playwrights, dramatists, digital photographers, composers, choreographers, dancers, actors, illustrators, architects, designers, cooks/food writers, film makers, and landscape/pleine aire painters. Please note that we cannot consider applications from visual artists needing a studio (where one can make a mess!) as we do not have the appropriate facilities at this time. If you are a studio-based artist and you have a project that can be executed outside, please specify on your application that you will be working out of doors and we will see if we can accommodate you.
When can I apply?
Applications are considered on a rolling basis. We are open from 15 February – 15 December each year (we will consider Dec/Jan retreats case-by-case. Winters can be harsh in the Pyrenees but we will happily host those who enjoy cold weather and roaring fires!) Please provide TWO alternative dates for your residency if possible.
